Hopefully this week I'll get to use the TRX40 again. (The idea of herd immunity is to either naturally develop antibodies from COVID directly, or, develop antibodies by receiving a vaccine.) This means I now have natural immunity with no need for a vaccine. I left hospital today now back at home and reading this thread on my laptop with supplemental oxygen (and lots of steroids and blood thinners).īTW, I sero-converted, meaning I now have antibodies to COVID. A 3-day hospital admission tuned me up and excluded some really serious stuff that I fortunately did not have (DVT/PE). I self-treated at home and did well until this past weekend when the "cytokine storm" hit me (I was too conservative with steroid use). It's not what you think it is, if you want to run other operating systems on your Mac, use virtualization software.I got COVID two weeks ago.

Mac Users, unless you are extremely technical and knowledgeable, don't try installing this on a real Mac (Apple hardware), you almost certainly will 'brick' it. Clover configuration is used to 'configure' Clover. For the same reason the page on Clover Configurator shouldn't be on MacUpdate either. If you want to discuss 'hacking' a Mac, there are plenty of other sites. Clover by itself is not a violation, but it's only purpose is to assist the installation of macOS on non Apple hardware, which is a violation.

just as we don't condone posting piracy related software or information on this site, we shouldn't discuss software that knowingly or unknowingly causes users to violate their Apple user agreements. You shouldn't bite the/a hand that feeds you. This site is a public marketplace and forum for users AND developers of Apple software developers who make money supporting Apple and the Apple eco-system. What you do behind closed doors is your business. Now whatever anyone's personal opinion on hackintosh, that's fine. Second, Apple does not permit the installation of macOS on non Apple hardware, which is the only use for using Clover it is a violation of the EULA and copyright. First off all, installing Clover on 'real' Mac will likely result in a non bootable machine, requiring a complete reformat of the drive.
It is for use with 'hackintosh' machines, non Apple hardware that is rigged to boot macOS. I don't see it more an issue than if installing a ZFS filesystem on your drive, even though Apple wouldn't want you to do so. )īut after all, provided you put a disclaimer for the non savvy, why not put it here? It's related to MacOS, it's not piracy, it doesn't modify the OS.

I was indeed surprised to find it here for 2 reasons: one is because of course it's meant in the first place for the hackintosh scene - but again, some people might find it interesting to have a different bootloader to boot Windows or Linux on their Mac (I haven't tried it myself.) - and two because I think the people who need it already know what to do with it and where to find it.

On the other hand, I agree with Mcr about the need for a disclaimer, just in case some kamikaze would try and install it on a real Mac without knowing what they're doing! :-D I don't think this is the place for a debate about wether or not it's legit to use Clover on real Macs (some people do) or hackintoshes, but what Clover does it does it well. Startup sound controlled by F8 and checked by F7.Create Clover boot entry in NVRAM with tool from GUI.Create custom boot entries for personalizing boot entries and add support for other operating systems.
